Atomic Floyd headphones

Atomic-Floyd-Bheadphones

The Atomic Floyd SuperDarts offer powerful, punchy bass with clear high frequencies that are sure to appeal to fans of electronic and dance music. And if you're into electronic music, the skull-shaking bass offered by the Atomic Floyd SuperDarts will give you endless hours of pleasure with their bright red cable and shiny metal bits stuck on the end, bullet-like tips are back, complete with aggressive grooves.

They're machined from stainless steel, so should be sturdy enough to withstand an accidental attack from an errant foot. That metal does make them pretty heavy, so you'll have to make sure you use the correct size of tips to ensure they don't fall out of your ears. Settled in the top half of the left-hand cable you'll find an in-line remote made from more of that tough metal.

Atomic-Floyd-Bheadphones

The remote is placed so it dangles just below your chin, which makes it better for picking up your voice than some headsets we've used, and makes it easy to find when you have to quickly skip the songs. The SuperDarts use dual drivers, meaning you have two speakers pumping out music in each ear. The dual drivers handle low and high frequencies separately, with the purpose of providing a more defined sound than headphones that rely on one driver for everything.

The silicon tips provide an excellent level of passive sound isolation, which allows you to listen at lower volumes, providing a clearer song and happier eardrums. The attention to detail has been so great that even the cable has been designed so that it doesn’t get tangled in knots when tucked away in your pocket. But, although these headphones are good, ultimately it all comes back to the price as it costs around £199.

Battlefield 3 Razer BlackShark Collector’s Edition Gaming Headset

battlefield-razer-blackshark

Gamers do take their hardware very seriously, and a souped up gaming machine can run into the thousands, not to mention it requires the relevant kind of peripherals to go along with it so that you will no longer have any excuse of not being able to frag that opponent ragged a thousand ways from seemingly impossible angles (with normal hardware, of course). Razer is one name that most people already know when it comes to quality gaming peripherals, and this fact is not lost on them – which is why they have come up with the Battlefield 3 Razer BlackShark Collector’s Edition Gaming Headset.

This is a custom headset that is part of its Collector’s Edition gaming peripheral suite. Plenty of thought have gone into its design, where we do know that it has been inspired by tactical aviator headsets and boasts of total audio immersion. The Razer BlackShark is touted to deliver the full force aural intensity of Battlefield 3, which is EA and DICE’s military shooter masterwork, and also the fastest-selling game from EA ever to be released.

Battlefield 3 has been described to be one of the most physical, dynamic and progressive shooter experience available on the market at this point in time, so in order to increase the realism ante, Razer decided that their BlackShark headset will be able to give you that feeling as though you were on a genuine attack helicopter, piloting it with complete circumaural ear cups that were specially designed in order to cater for an authentic auditory in-game experience.

Razer is an old hat in this segment, where they will bring their superior sound-isolating technology in order to block out undesirable ambient noises, and during times when it is deathly quiet, the Razer BlackShark will feature a detachable boom microphone that you can strike up a conversation with the rest of your mates. for use on-the-go.

Sporting an exclusive Battlefield 3 design, the Razer BlackShark should be comfortable enough to wear for long gaming sessions without resulting in the burning feeling that your ears experience with cheaper headsets. The asking price is the same in terms of its numbers either side of the pond – $129.99 or €129.99, as it hits the worldwide markets this July.

How to Turn Your Monitor Into a Touchscreen

Using a computer mouse provides two levels of depth when interacting with content on a screen. One can just hover or can click. Hover allows receiving short descriptions, while click selects or performs an action. PreCursor provides this missing sense of interaction to touchscreens. Pranav Mistry from MIT is working on a project called PreCursor that can turn any regular computer monitor into a touch screen.

Universal Serial Bus (USB)

Micro USB to connect most of our devices in future

Micro-USB

Almost 10 leading mobile / mobility device manufacturers have formally signed a European Commission Memorandum of Understanding which curbs the creation of e-waste by making manufacturers of mobiles to use the standard (Micro USB) for charging the devices and also for connecting them to computers for data exchange.
Micro USB are not to be confused with Mini USB which is already available in many phones especially from Motorola and BlackBerry. Mini USB has a very super cool option that will seamlessly allow different mobile devices to be connected with each other without the actual need for a host computer. The Micro USB is already in use in the Amazon Kindle which has a craze following in the US market.

Micro-USB

Some of the company’s that have signed the agreement include Apple, LG, Motorola, NEC, Nokia, Qualcomm, Research in Motion, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, and Texas Instruments.
These are the same company’s which are members of the OMTP Forum.
As per the commitment on the MoU signed the manufacturer’s need to roll out all their products with support to Micro USB from the year 2010. This is really a very exciting news since we don’t have to anymore worry about different sets of cables for charging or data transfer purposes. Currently, I have atleast 3-4 sets of chargers for my Sony Ericsson, BlackBerry and Nokia mobiles and another equal number of cables that are needed for syncing each of these devices with my PC / Laptop.
Once, we have the Micro USB standard we can have a single charger and data cable for most of our devices. Imagine using the same charger to charge ur Sony Ericsson mobile as well as your BlackBerry and also your iPod – now that’s gonna be super cool. But, you’ll need to purchase the new models that are released post 2010 (Now that’s a catch).
